The State of Missouri is building a team of MO Appreciation Ambassadors to continue moving forward the culture of recognition across the state.

Who can become a MO Appreciation Ambassador?

Team members with a passion for improving recognition within their department should apply. Each department will select one ambassador to serve on a statewide council to share and promote recognition ideas. MO Appreciation Ambassadors selected to serve their departments internally will assist the statewide ambassador in communicating and promoting a culture of recognition for their teams.

What are the responsibilities?

MO Appreciation Ambassadors will be responsible for:

  • Sharing personal appreciation experiences to influence the culture of recognition
  • Improve internal communication to increase awareness of statewide reward and recognition opportunities
  • Collaborate with team members to think creatively, find sources of meaningful recognition, and implement ways to continue to improve the recognition culture across the state
  • Serving as a direct contact for team members who may need help or have suggestions related to rewards and recognition
  • Improve internal communication and share knowledge to increase awareness of your department’s formal recognition. Keep the MO Appreciation website up-to-date for your dept.
  • Improve internal communication and share knowledge to increase awareness of your department’s informal recognition. Keep the MO Appreciation website up-to-date for your dept.
  • Collaborate with your department’s rewards and recognition coordinator to facilitate nominations for department-wide reward and recognition opportunities
  • Willing and able to commit up to 1 hour per week for focused efforts surrounding recognition and appreciation
  • Notify MO Appreciation Coordinator if no longer able to serve as an ambassador
