DCI Division Employee of the Quarter

The Division Employee of the Quarter recognizes an employee who:

  • Efforts and behaviors contribute to achieving the mission of the department or the core values of their respective division.
  • Embodies honesty and integrity by owning up to mistakes, taking responsibility, or following through even when it is challenging.
  • Exhibits collaboration excellence through intradepartmental teamwork, productive communication, and/or efforts to breakdown silos.
  • Displays organizational citizenship behaviors by being proactively helpful, showing a team-first attitude, or demonstrating care, empathy, or encouragement to fellow team members.
  • Adds value to the division, department, customers, or State of Missouri by being solution oriented, increasing productivity, and enhancing work quality, offering a creative/strategic approach to assignment completion, or offering a cost or time-saving procedure.
  • Contributes a tangible benefit to the division, department, or the public beyond that produced, in the course of regular assignments (examples: leadership in associations, conferences, personal/career development, committees, teams, training, etc.).
  • Exhibits commitment to service and to serving the citizens of Missouri over and above normal duties and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of initiative in the performance of their job responsibilities and career development.
  • Employee generously gives of time and effort above and beyond that of which their job demands.
  • Efforts or attitude have created a favorable impression with customers or the public. Such as a dedication to excellent customer service or exhibits effective working relationships with others in all aspects of the job.
  • Maintains a positive attitude in any situation.
  • Serves as a role model for and/or motivates others.
  • Sustains a high level of productivity and consistent quality of work or displayed exceptional dependability in the completion of job assignments.

NOTE: To be considered, employees must be employed with DCI for at least six months and not be a recipient of Employee of the Quarter in the previous 12 months.

How to nominate: Complete and submit the linked DCI Division Employee of the Quarter Nomination Form – by the 15 th day, of the last month of the quarter (March 15, June 15, September 15 & December 15).

Who can nominate: Any DCI employee can nominate another DCI employee.

Reward: Those selected will receive a plaque, MO Credential badge and Certificate, 8 hours of administrative leave to use within 90 days and a Director’s Office luncheon. In addition, they will be featured in the DCI CONNECT employee newsletter, announced on DCI’s social media accounts and displayed on the screens in Suites 530 & 830 in the Truman Building (if the recipient is willing).

Director’s Applause

The Director will recognize DCI team members based on recommendations from their supervisors for outstanding performance, operational excellence, inspiring leadership, and/or going above and beyond expectations.

How to nominate: To nominate a DCI team member, supervisors will email their recommendation to nominations@dci.mo.gov. The nomination should include the following:

  • Team member’s name & title
  • Details about why they are being complimented or praised
  • Quotes from other team members or clients who offered praise
  • Name of nominator

Who can nominate: Any DCI supervisor/manager can nominate any DCI team members.

Reward: Team members who are selected will receive a signed note from the DCI Director, as well as supervisor recognition.

Kudos Award

Each month, the Kudos section in DCI’s Internal News Publication is a great opportunity to display a consumer’s kind words, a positive interaction with a licensee, or even a thank-you message from one team member to another. 

How to nominate: Email communications@dci.mo.gov, and include the following information: 

  • Team member’s name & title
  • Details about why they are being complimented or praised for outstanding work
  • Quotes from other team members or clients who offered praise
  • Name of nominator

Who can nominate: Anyone can nominate a DCI team member for a job well done. 

Reward: Team members will receive public recognition in the monthly CONNECT Internal News Publication. Kudos badges are also issued through MO Cred to individuals who receive this recognition from an external source (consumer, company, etc.) The Kudos badge is in effect for one year from the issue date.

PR Newsletter Recognition

Recognizes DCI team members in the PR Newsletter.

How to nominate: Email the following information to Rosie.Woodruff@pr.mo.gov:

  • Team member’s name & title
  • Details about why they are being complimented or praised for outstanding work
  • Quotes from other team members or clients who offered praise
  • Name of nominator

Who can nominate: Any DCI team member can nominate another DCI team member.

Reward: Team members will receive public recognition in the PR Newsletter.
