MONG Employee of the Month

Employee of the Month nominations recognize a team member who:

  • Goes above and beyond what is expected
  • Has an idea or has done something that resulted in a new cost or time-saving procedure
  • Increased productivity or enhanced work quality
  • Contributed a tangible benefit to the Department or the public beyond what would normally be produced through regular work/assignments
  • Has shown use of initiative and creativity in the accomplishment of an assignment
  • Has exhibited initiative in establishing and leading a team that consistently produces high-quality results

How to nominate: Complete and submit an Employee of the Month Nomination Form and send it to Human Resources by the 20th of the month. Each nomination will be considered for 3 consecutive months. Nomination forms may be requested from and submitted to hr@mong.mo.gov.

Who can nominate: Any MONG team member, uniformed, federal, or state, may nominate another MONG team member.

Recognition: Team members who are selected as Employee of the Month will receive a plaque, recognition from the Adjutant General, and 8 hours of administrative leave.

MONG Employee of the Year

Employee of the Year recognizes a MONG team member who has provided outstanding service to the citizens of Missouri. All MONG Employees of the Month will be considered for Employee of the Year.

How to nominate: There is no nomination process. The MONG Employee of the Year will be selected from one of the past Employee of the Month recipients.

Recognition: Team members who are selected as Employee of the Year will receive a plaque, recognition from the Adjutant General, and 8 hours of administrative leave. In addition, they will receive public recognition via distribution of their name and photo in a newsletter to all employees via email.

Service Awards

MONG team members are recognized annually for their years of service with the State of Missouri, marking 5-year intervals of service and up.

How to nominate: There is no nomination process, recognition will be based on a team member’s years of service. HR manages this list and provides the awards/certificates as needed.

Recognition: Annual awards will vary and will go up in value depending on the number of years in service. Awards will be presented for all of those serving 5, 10, 15, 20, and so on, during an annual meeting.
