Department Team Member of the Month
Recognizes a team member who performs their duties in an outstanding manner, and who may also have accomplished greater than normal achievements or contributed above and beyond the expectations of their position.
How to nominate: Complete a Universal Award Nomination Form and submit it directly to the recognition committee in central office.
Who can nominate: Any Department of Corrections team member can nominate another Department of Corrections team member.
Reward: Team members who are selected will receive a framed certificate. The Division Team Member of the Month will also receive 4 hours of administrative leave.
Division Team Member of the Month
Recognizes a team member from a specific division for performing their duties in an outstanding manner.
How to nominate: Complete a Universal Award Nomination Form and submit it directly to the recognition committee in central office.
Who can nominate: Any Department of Corrections team member can nominate another Department of Corrections team member.
Reward: Team members who are selected will receive a framed certificate and 4 hours of administrative leave.
Award of Valor
This award is given to a team member who acted in a heroic or courageous manner, on or off duty, despite personal risk.
How to nominate: Complete a Universal Award Nomination Form and submit it directly to the recognition committee in central office. Please include some sort of verification with your nomination form (ex. a newspaper article, department incident report, police report, etc.)
Who can nominate: Any Department of Corrections team member can nominate another Department of Corrections team member.
Reward: Team members who are selected will receive a framed certificate, a distinguished service token, a plaque, and a pin.
Distinguished Service Award
This award is given to a team member who acted in a heroic or courageous manner, on or off duty, despite personal risk.

This award recognizes a team member who has taken actions to save the life of another person.
