Team Member of the Month

The DED Team Member of the Month program is an opportunity to recognize a DED team member who excels in collaboration, communication, creative thinking/resolution, customer service, initiative, leadership/mentoring, or developing workplace harmony. This can also be used as an opportunity to recognize when a team member makes a notable impact or contribution, or when they excel in a special project.

How to nominate: Complete and submit a  Team Member of the Month Nomination Form by the first day of the month. Each nomination will be considered by the Director’s Senior Staff as outlined in policy.

Who can nominate: Any DED team member can nominate another DED team member. Department directors, division directors, and deputy division directors are not eligible to receive the Team Member of the Month award.

Reward: Team members who are selected as Team Member of the Month will get 8 hours administrative leave with pay and a certificate. They may also be awarded a parking pass for the month, if available.

Tenure Recognition

The DED tenure recognition program recognizes years of service in all branches and departments within state government.

How to nominate: There is no nomination process for this award, recipients are simply selected based on their years of service to the State of Missouri.

Reward: DED team members are rewarded based on the following number of years of service:

  • 5 years – Certificate
  • 10 years – Certificate and 8 hours of administrative leave with pay
  • 15 years – Certificate and 8 hours of administrative leave with pay
  • 20 years (and every 5 years thereafter) – Certificate and 8 hours of administrative leave with pay
