Angie Garcia

Angie Garcia, Associate Engineer in the Clean Water Section of the Financial Assistance Center, has been selected as the Division of Environmental Quality Team Member of the Month for April 2025.

Angie was selected for her work as the lead and primary contact for tribal consultations under the Clean Water State Revolving Fund program. Angie took on the role when her supervisor left in 2023. She immediately offered to assist and has excelled at communicating with tribes and establishing systems for the consultation process. She has also assisted other programs with similar requirements.

In addition to the work on tribal consultations, Angie has developed several Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for her team and has been instrumental in mentoring new team members. The SOPs have been beneficial to everyone in the unit. “Angie is always willing to assist her peers as well as leaders, never afraid to jump right in and complete a task,” wrote Stacia Bax and Ginny Bretzke, who nominated her for this award. “We all appreciate her commitment to quality in interacting with the communities we serve, the tribes during environmental reviews, and the team members within FAC.”

Congratulations Angie! Thank you for all that you do to help your team and the citizens of Missouri.
